The Mariposa Story

Mariposa is Spanish for "butterfly" the butterfly represents the struggle of change and the beauty of transformation.

The caterpillar, while it's in the cocoon, it's changing. Once the change has occurred the butterfly then has to get out of the cocoon, and during that exiting process, there is an enormous struggle. If you alleviate the struggle, the butterfly will die, without ever flying. If we don't have the struggle, then we can't fly and we inevitably die without ever trying.

This can be symbolic of every human being seeking to experience change, it’s a universal struggle for anyone in pursuit of betterment, enlightenment, knowledge, and anything that contains meaning. This comes with the struggle of the self, from experiencing the old and embracing the new.

Thus, the butterfly is an eloquent representation of the human experience.
